This is a special one-day workshop on hand building using porcelain clay.
The workshop will run for four hours (10am-2pm) and during the class you will learn how to hand build ceramic pots using pinch-pot and coil building techniques. I'll start by demonstrating these techniques, and you'll spend the day making pots with plenty of my help.
I'll fire and glaze your pots in the following weeks, and they'll be ready for you to collect approx 3-4 weeks later.
This class would suit beginners as well as those with some experience hand building using earthenware and stoneware clays. Working with porcelain is more challenging which is why this class will focus on that material specifically (but once you know how to hand build with porcelain, using stoneware is a breeze!).
The price includes all materials, use of tools, firing, and snacks. Please let me know if you have any specific dietary requirements at least a week before the workshop.
Please understand that due to the small class size and effort that goes into preparing for workshops, refunds are not possible. Classes can be transferred to others, so if you can't make it, feel free to sell your spot or pass it on to a friend (just shoot me an email to let me know).
